FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
Gemma Butler For the past 8 years Gemma has worked as a Personal Assistant, currently for the National Project Manager of a large government communications project at a well known engineering company in Brighton. Her role entails event management for a number of conferences and occasions. These are fast paced, dynamic and enjoyable challenges. Gemma never feels fulfilled without a ‘project’ to coordinate.
Gemma feels that her avid interest in fashion and her knowledge of event management will aid in orchestrating BrightonLovesFashion. Gemma has been involved in many years of charity work including a sponsored sky dive in aid of CLIC Sargent in October 2008.
FOUNDER/DIRECTOR
Helen Shapcott After studying at the University of Brighton for her degree in Business with Finance, Helen began her career as a junior merchandiser for BHS and is now working as a business consultant with Gemma on a national government project. This includes taking the role of communications manager for the project.
Helen has lived in Brighton since university after falling in love with its unique, laid-back, creative, seaside setting. Helen has a passion for fashion, and regularly attends events such as Brighton Frocks and London Fashion Weekend.
Helen feels it is now time for a fresh challenge and time to ‘give something back’, and could think of nothing better than to combine this with organising a charity fashion show.
GRAPHIC DESIGNER
Tom Scrace Brighton based Designer Tom Scrace is the brains and talent behind graphics company Pragmatic Effects. Having been born and educated in the seaside town, Tom continues to be nurtured and inspired by the city, and feels strongly about local causes and charities.

‘I’m proud to have worked with some of Brighton’s most gifted and dynamic business people, across a range of industries. BrightonLovesFashion and Brighton Women’s Centre are no exception. The work both are doing in the community is exceptional. I’m looking forward to the culmination of ideas and creative flair at the show in November.’

MUSIC COORDINATOR
Al Marzocchi Al, inspired by the electronic music revolution of the late eighties, has been DJing in clubs and bars for well over 10 years. He recently teamed up with production partner Axel Castro (who used to own the record shop Al used to spend all his money in). They will be providing direction and support to designers in creating their soundtracks and providing the musical build up to the main event. Al Marzocchi and DJ Laminar will be pleasuring the crowd at the after show party with their vast record collection spanning many genres. MUSIC COORDINATOR
DJ Laminar Aussie Neil to his mates has been DJing across Europe and his native Australia since the early 90′s.
Neil has held previous residencies for various club nights including Pointbreaks, Spherical Sounds and Genetics and produces music ranging from dub through to electro.

BACKSTAGE MANAGER
Nina Burgueno Nina grew up in a family environment in Spain where fashion, music and the arts played a huge role in her life. After gaining her advertising and PR Degree, Nina started her professional career in one of the most prestigious companies in Europe as an Artist Manager in Madrid. for 5 years. For 5 years Nina worked as a Booker for 3 departments (Models, Actors and Children), where she worked with a number of leading casting directors, fashion designers and International photographer’s. Nina is now taking the next step in her career and is living and studying English in Brighton.

Cherry Truluck Cherry is a multimedia theatre designer and artist. She is currently designing Fairytaleheart by Philip Ridley for Jermyn Street Theatre. STYLE CONSULTANT
Heather Shears Heather graduated from the University of Brighton in 2010 with a BA Honors in Illustration. During her time at Brighton her work transformed from traditional illustration to high styling photography and make up.
Heather likes to break away from tradition and is inspired by alternative femininity’s, manipulating the figure to create different alter egos and personas is a key theme through out her work.

HAIR DESIGN
Allie Moore part of Poppy & Jacks hair design, is currently working as a lecturer teaching hair and Beauty at Northbrook College, but her passion is editorial and fashion hair. She has been hairdressing since she was 16 and loves the fast pace and vibrancy the industry provides.
Allie will be supported by Lauren Collins from Chic Mobile hair and Jamie Mcdermott from JMD Hair Design.
